This policy explains how Royal Esports handles information when a user links an Epic Games account to their Discord account through the Epic link feature.
Data we collect
- Discord user ID and Discord username for the logged-in linking session.
- Epic account ID and Epic display name returned by Epic after approval.
- OAuth scope value and the timestamp when the link was created.
How we collect it
After you approve Epic OAuth, Epic sends a temporary authorization code to our callback URL. The server exchanges that code for a token, reads account identity details, and stores only the fields listed above. We do not ask for or store your Epic password.
How we use your data
- To connect one Discord account with one Epic account.
- To display link status on the Epic link page.
- To grant configured verification roles and write verification logs in the Discord server.
- To let staff troubleshoot account link issues.
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. Data is used internally for account-linking and moderation operations. Epic Games receives OAuth requests as part of the normal authorization flow.
Retention and deletion
Link records are stored until you unlink your account or staff remove the link record from storage. You can unlink from the Epic link page, which removes your stored link entry.
Your choices
- You can choose not to link an Epic account.
- You can unlink at any time from the Epic link page.
- You can contact server staff if you need help removing link data.
